- One (1) post in the following topic: “Investigation of the aspects that promote collaboration and learning through the use of technology”.
Description: This Ph.D. thesis work will investigate the variables that contribute to technology-mediated collaboration and learning, using technologies such as mobile devices, the internet, augmented reality technologies, social media, etc., either in fully online settings or in hybrid settings. Emphasis will be given on the investigation of the interaction between social, affective and cognitive dimensions of successful collaborations.
Required Qualifications: To be considered, candidates should have an undergraduate and a master’s degree in a related field. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong methodological background and should be highly proficient in spoken and written English. For the application to be evaluated, candidates need to submit the following: a) detailed CV; b) a brief research proposal, in which the candidate describes the motivation and contribution of a research study which falls within their research interests and is related to the topic of the Ph.D. as described above, also providing information on possible research questions and methods; and c) two recommendation letters, preferably from university professors, which should be independently submitted to the University before the application deadline.
Funding: Depending on their field of expertise and qualifications, candidates may be offered teaching assistant positions in the department for lab-based courses. Moreover, funding may be available through on-going research projects.

Description: This Ph.D. thesis work will lead to the development and empirical investigation of inquiry-based learning with mobile and/or augmented reality devices.
