The Master’s program in “New Technologies for Communication and Learning” in the Department of Communication and Internet Studies was established in 2010 and admitted its first students in Fall 2011. This program addresses graduate students who are interested in the design, implementation and use of learning technologies in formal (e.g. schools) and informal learning settings (e.g. museums, web-based learning, work-place learning).

It is the first program of its kind in Cyprus. The program was developed as a Learning Sciences program and its course structure is based on three pillars: Theoretical Foundations, Design & Technology, and Applications. During their course of study students take courses from all three pillars. The program places emphasis on project-based learning, collaboration and a combination of theory and practice.
